Archies Girls by MAC

Archie’s Girls Betty and Veronica by MAC

I have been wanting to do a review on this for a while and even though Archie’s girls is out already in USA and has been in Selfridges London for the last month it is being released to all of the UK tomorrow so if you have not been able to check it out so far go and have a look!

It has great cute packaging and two different color palettes which will suit everyone!

Archie is a long running very popular comic book from the USA. It features Archie and a love triangle between all American girl Betty and more feisty Rich girl Veronica who both have a crush on Archie.

Make has been inspired by the comic and created a great playful collection of products which revolve around the two female characters.

Whether you are a Betty or Veronica the first thing that attracted me was the super cute packaging but i realized there are some great colors too.

MAC has brought at a four eye shadow palette, lipsticks, Lipglass, and Pearlmatte face powder for Betty featuring peaches and pink.

We have the same for Veronica but the colors are most sultry and sexy, violet, red and plums

This collection would be great as a gift worth getting for the lipsticks which feature some new shades.

I have got two products the Betty bright lipstick and Pearlmatte face powder which is something i have not come across with MAC before

The Betty Bright lipstick is a satin finish so not really matt but still that look on the lips. I really love this colour coming up for spring its a coral tone lipstick which is very pigmented. Having tried it on it seems quite similar to the Nicki Viva Glam Lipstick but not quite as bright so if you love that you will love this.

Below are swatches on Betty bright on the left and i have put a swatch of Betty Bright and Nicki Viva Glam as i think they are pretty similar.

You can also see how it looks on the lips too

If you have dry lips you really need to condition them first otherwise it could look dry on but great for a night out

At first i thought this was similar to the beauty powder MAC has brought out before but its a little different. This can be used as a highlight (just the golden part) or mixed together for more of a subtle blushes effect. You can also you the two tone colors as eye shadows and the cute heart effect is pretty nice. I don’t actually want to spoil it

Overall another fun collection from MAC
