Sephora and Space NK – Haul and eye look

I live in London and we do not have Sephora in the UK! Why i ask??

I recently took a trip to Paris France and went in the local Sephora there! There were a few products i wanted to pick up after doing some serious recon on the website beforehand. I talk about them below.

I have to start with this product this is my Holy Grail eye shadow palette!

I had heard good reviews mostly about the Marc Jacobs Lolita palette but i wanted something with a little more color to it. I have a lot of neutrals and enjoy wearing color and shimmer.

Finally I chose no. 204 The Starlet! This has to be the most beautiful palette I own. The packaging is sleek and compact. It comes in it’s own little bag that closes with a satisfying snap shut.

Now lets talk about the shadows. They are very pigmented, smooth and just amazing. This palette is shimmery which i like and has a variety of colors from gold, silver to browns. I would use every color from this palette which is rare. There is normally one or two i don’t like. This is a luxury palette which is quite expensive but if you want something special for Christmas or to treat yourself it’s a must have.

Let me know if you would like me to do an eye look with this palette? This was my main purchase in Sephora and i want to try a few more things from Marc Jacobs soon.

I could not leave the store without buying two Formula X nail polishes. The selection is vast and there are many different types and textures to buy. I like the sleek and simple packaging with their squarer bottle. I picked up two shades; the first Hercules an everyday bright pink. I also bought an effects top coat in Volatile (Silver with large and small glitters). This has so much glitter packed into it, when layered up it looks almost like foil on the nail. I wanted to pair these two together using the silver glitter on an accent nail or the tips. I formula went on smooth and was easily built with two coats.

From Space NK in London i bought three makeup treats for myself.

NARS has come out with some new products recently, Dual-intensity eyeshadow, lipstick and Velvet lip liners too. The shadows looked great I bought just the one to try out the formula. I chose Lysithea which is a silver green pearl color. You can use these dry or wet for a real intense foiled look on the lids. I found they are so pigmented anyway that I did not need to wet it this time. Above I have used the shadow on my eye. You can see when on it looks much more green than in the pot. The packaging is spot on, a lovely small square shadow with a magnetic close and mirror inside. Love, love, Love this! I have been thinking about the other colors since I bought it.

Next I purchased a Velvet lip liner. I got the shade El Agua, a mid purple tone twist up pencil. These are matte on the lips and a would be a good color under a deeper plum or purple lipstick. They stay on the lips a long time but feel a little dry. I will not be buying other colors in the lip pencil, these did not blow me away.

I have seen these little beauties and on first glance they look like concealer. After further investigation i realised they are a nude lipstick/crayon. There are 6 shades telling us ‘there is a nude for every mood’ in the description.

I went for Nude 1 and I love this product. Sometimes i find it hard to find a nude to suit me and not wash my complexion out but this really works.

They are full coverage with a satin finish and looks great with a gloss on top too. The packaging is nice and these are great with a smokey or darker eye. Have a look in Space NK and one of the assistants can help choose your perfect color.

I hope you enjoyed this Haul!
