Top 5 Foundations

I have tried a lot of different foundations and wanted to do a top 5!

It’s been hard choosing just 5 but I think I’ve done it!

1. Face and body by MAC

This is one of the most versatile foundations on the market and is still a cult favourite. It is an oil based foundation that’s waterproof when on. You can apply to face and body as the name suggests, I often like to put this on my legs in the summer if I’m looking a bit pale.

It’s light / buildable coverage and moisturising when on. Good for all skin types except very oily.
I used the colour C2

2. Vitalumiere by Chanel

This is a water based foundation that covers imperfections with minimal product. It feels like water when applied to the face, like you have nothing on.

It injects moisture into the skin but leaves a natural to slightly moisturised finish.

This is my go to everyday foundation which you can depend on to make your skin look great.

I used the colour 10, 20 and 30 in the summer.

3. Luminous silk by Giorgio Armani

This foundation is medium coverage and makes your skin look amazing. It has a slightly luminous finish but it looks more like skin when on. You can build up the coverage so if you have some redness or blemishes this will also cover them.

I just love the way this looks on, and you have to try it to really understand how amazing it is. The consistency is not too heavy and it always surprises me how flawless my skin looks with only pump of this foundation.

4. Studio sculpt by MAC

This is my go to full coverage foundation. It’s great for normal to dry skin and is a whipped moose liquid texture. You can really build this up and it smooths over any imperfections. If I’m having a bad skin day I will put this on and it makes me feel much more confident.

It has been one of my favourites for quite a few years and I don’t feel that will stop anytime soon. There is not another foundation like it that I’ve found.

5. Healthy mix – by Bourjois

This is my favourites drug store foundation that I’ve tried. I always wanted to find something more affordable but that performed and looked like a high end foundation. This foundation is great for normal to dry skin and gives and nice glow when applied. You can build this up from light to medium coverage and it sits well on the skin. That had been my problem with other drug store foundation they just didn’t sit well. This does! Yes!

The colour range is not quite as good as he more expensive foundations I mentioned above, but if you can find a shade which works for you, try it and I’m sure you’ll like it as much as I do.

Below you can see the MAC foundations together, face and body comes in two sizes 120ml and 50ml. Good to try out with the smaller size first.

Tell me what your favourite foundations are? I am always on the look at for my new favourite. I’m a found stood and lipstick hoarder for sure.

Hope you found this useful keep, and eye on for my next post all about he perfect red lip.

  1. Hi! What are your shades for the Luminous Silk and Studio Sculpt foundations? I’m also C2 in Mac Face&Body and I really wanted to try out those other two foundations! Thanks!
