Dior has always been one of my favourite fashion designers and when I worked with them as a manager for their makeup counter I totally fell in love with the history, workmanship and vision of the brand.
When I heard that the Victoria & Albert museum would be celebrating all things Dior with an exhibition from the Dior archives including fashion and accessories I had to book my tickets!
I visited the Alexander McQueen exhibition years ago at the same location and this blew me away. I was hoping this would do the same…
I wanted to share with you some of the amazing dresses that have been created for Dior from early pieces to modern times, everything is designed with the ‘Dior’ shape in mind.
The ‘new look’ as Christian Dior himself described it, featuring a cinched in tailored waist.
A little about the exhibition ‘Spanning 1947 to the present day, this exhibition traces the history and impact of one of the 20th century’s most influential couturiers, exploring the enduring influence of the fashion house, and Dior’s relationship with Britain.’
I’m going to put all of my photos I took of the exhibition. There are quite a few… feel free to scroll through and let me know which is your favourite!
